Lady Lions fall to the Cougars on the final regular season game.

60-39 Salina South favor. Although this game is our 20th to play per KSHSAA rules and did not effect our seeding for Sat. Game, we had a goal to come out and play hard and well. We gave some effort be not completely and paid for it. South hit 6 triples in the 1st half and raced out to a big lead. We got it down to 12 points but then in the 3rd quarter had another flat outing. We have to play more consistently on defense. We had low energy and allowed too many easy buckets. We did some things in the half court offense pretty well but we can't play catch up all game long. Notable stats

Slow start for the Lady Lions But the Pace Quickened in the 2nd Half!

GHS 50 - Ark City 17 After a slow start both offensively and defensively in the first half the Lions came alive in the 2nd Half. The score at half was GHS 18 - Ark City 11. Credit to the Bulldogs staff and players they came out ready to compete. In the 2nd half the Lady Lions turned up the heat on D forcing turnovers in the full court. Then on offense they played more efficiently and was spurred on by a hot Ashlynn Wcislo whom splashed home 6 3's🔥🔥🔥 We call her Splash-lynn when that ball is going in the hoop like that! She finished with a game high 18 points! Maycee James picked it up on O by attacking the zone and hitting short range shots. She finished with 16 points 8 rbs 8 steals and 5 Assists. Freshman Reece Albin and Jr. Bailey Scoggin chipped in 5 points a piece and Sr. Shae Vang hit a 3 pointer. Lions take out on the Road again @ Salina South on this Friday.

Lions fight hard but fall to the Trojans

GHS 37- Andover 48 It was a Stalemate in the 1st quarter then Andover poured it on in the 2nd Quarter with a 19 point outburst. Andover's #11 Woolston was on fire from 3 point land hitting 5 of them in the first half. The Trojans were up 21 at half, but the Lions battled back to get within 6 points behind some great D and a better operating offense. The Lions defense held Woolston scoreless in the 2nd half and poured in 15 points in the 3rd qtr alone. "We have to take care of ball better we had too many costly turnovers" says HC Marcus James. "Kudos to Andover for making FTs down the stretch."
