Entering my 29th season of coaching. During that time I have coached youth and high school football and basketball. This will be my 1st season as the defensive coordinator at Avondale high school. I have been a varsity high school defensive coordinator for the previous 7 seasons.

Entering his 26th year of Coaching Varsity Football. Marty has a been a Defensive Coordinator for 8 seasons during his tenure and will now be the Head Coach for The Clarenceville Trojans. Coach Castellon has a Bachelor Degree in Education from Olivet College and a Master’s Degree in Administration from Wayne State University. During his tenure as an Assistant Football Coach, he has qualified for the State Playoffs 19 times, won 13 City Championships, 3 Regional Championships,1 Conference Champion, 3 District Championships and has won a State Title. Coach C was also selected to Coach in the East vs. West All Star Football game in 2013 through the (MHSFCA) that was held at Grand Valley State University. Castellon had the honor of playing football and baseball for the Comets while in college working on his degree. Coach C was a 4 year starter in baseball and football for the Comets. He was a lead off hitter while starting in centerfield. Coach also contributed and started on the football field as well. Coach C was part of a M.I.A.A. Championship in College while starting on special teams and playing outside linebacker / Strong Safety. Coach C is a former All State & All Dream Team Baseball and Football player from Lansing Catholic Central High School, where he was nominated in “Who’s Who” and Player of the year candidate from the downtown coaches club through the MHSAA in East Lansing during his high school days. Coach also played in the East vs. West all Star baseball game at Detroit Tiger stadium. Coach C is currently a Physical Education Teacher for Wayne Westland Community Schools, and a Teacher of the Year Nominee in 2015. Coach C has 2 kids that went on to play College Athletics at Northwood University. (Softball and Football)

Varsity Assistant Coach

Was a 4 year Letterman and 2 year starter as an Offensive Tackle, at Saginaw Valley State University, 2000 GLIAC Champions. Coached Offensive Line for 4 years and was the Offensive Coordinator at Saginaw Valley Lutheran for 3 years. Joined the Coach Meyer family in 2019 at Clarenceville High School, coaching Offensive line and Defensive line. Looking forward to continue our winning tradition to Avondale! Entering my 15th season of coaching football. Have been linebackers coach the past 8 seasons at the HS level at Walled Lake Central and Livonia Clarenceville

Entering his 19 year coaching high school football, Coach Stojk (“Stoyk”) has coached all levels and both sides of the ball. He teaches mathematics and psychology at Walled Lake Central HS and is the Head Track & Field Coach. He will be working with the offense this season and specifically the O-Line.
