"Sports offer a tremendous amount, I have life-long friends that I've met through sports. I believe that sports teach us lessons that are applicable to life. While things will not always go as we want, the measure of success is how we react when we get knocked down and to the numerous challenges that arise. The lessons we learn from sports are life lessons. While the state championships teams I participated on won are memorable, I would trade both of them for the lifelong friends that I made. I look forward to helping our girls grow into great basketball players but more importantly I look forward to watching them grow as people, friends, and teammates." - Shevy Akason Shevy's goal is to involve all levels of the Dana Point community and create a feeder program of young athletes that can look up to our current student athletes as role models while helping our current student athletes achieve success and to also learn by teaching when possible. - Go Dolphins
