Good morning, Yesterday, it was brought to my attention there was a player who fainted at practice because of not eating and/or not staying hydrated. Unfortunately, this is not the first time this has happened. It is extremely important that these players eat throughout the day and drink a ton of water, especially when it’s been this hot! These players need to stay hydrated the day of but, ALSO days before. *Every athlete needs to be better prepared for the long day/ days of practices. Please see the attached flyer with some great examples of what the boys can eat before arriving at practice and also items to pack to eat prior to weight room/practice. 🔵We are kindly asking for any donations of protein bars/ Gatorade/ shakes/ granola bars etc. to be dropped off to Molly (our amazing Athletic trainer) to store in her clinic at SHS that she can have available to any of the athletes in need of these items. *Thank you for taking this matter serious and also for any donations that you can provide💙
