Bill Cardosi began his coaching career at 18 years old – almost immediately after graduating from Fontana High School where he played offensive line for legendary Coach Dick Bruich from 1992-1996. Cardosi started out coaching freshman football at his alma mater under the direction of Bruich and then followed his former high school coach to Kaiser High School when it opened in 1999. There, Cardosi continued as an assistant coach on the lower levels while he attended Cal State San Bernardino in pursuit of his degree and teaching credential. Cardosi earned the position of varsity offensive line Coach at Kaiser in 2003 and 2005 in-between stops as the Offensive Line Coach for Mike Churchill at Carter High School in 2004 and La Sierra High School in 2006. In 2007, Cardosi returned to Kaiser where he began his tenure as a Social Science teacher and continued his position as a varsity assistant before becoming the Offensive Coordinator during Coach Bruich’s last season before retirement in 2008. Cardosi remained Kaiser’s offensive coordinator under Head Coach Phil Zelaya from 2009-2016 and became Kaiser’s head coach in 2017. During his first three years as head coach, Cardosi has continued the tradition of success paved by his predecessors. During his short tenure as head coach, he led Kaiser football to a historic 14-win 2018 season (school record) and a 33-7 overall record. Under Cardosi’s leadership, Kaiser football has also captured the school’s 13th (2018) and 14th (2019) Sunkist League Titles, its fourth CIF Title (2018), and its first Southern Regional Championship (2018). The Cats have a historic streak of 19 consecutive appearances in the CIF playoffs. Coach Cardosi is supported and loved by Reyna Cardosi, his beautiful wife of 14 years and their 2 year-old daughter, Aylish Davey. Additionally, Cardosi is the son of Rialto Sports Hall of Fame Basketball Coach Dick Cardosi, who was Eisenhower’s head coach from 1975-1982.
