Maize Cheerleading Fundraiser

Your support is so greatly appreciated! Your donation will help us raise funds to buy necessary equipment and spirit raising tools to help our team succeed in our mission of supporting the other MHS athletic programs as well as promoting positive school spirit at MHS. It will also be used facilitate team bonding events, teacher appreciation gifts and welcome gifts for our opponents. Additionally, your support will allow us to continue our philanthropic endeavors with Kansas Honor Flight. Our team raises money annually to help pay for Honor Flights so that Kansas veterans can experience an all expense paid journey of honor and remembrance to visit their memorials in Washington DC. In addition to supporting Kansas Honor Flight financially, we also have the privilege of welcoming the Honor Flights home when they return to Kansas. Your donation will help us continue to honor our beloved Kansas veterans by helping facilitate a hero’s welcome home.

About Us

We are at 26 member team with a mission to be leaders at Maize High School. We strive to do our best to support the community of MHS by encouraging everyone to cheer loud, stand proud, be seen and know they matter. Our squad members are both athletes and stellar individuals working toward a common goal of becoming the best version of themselves. The team participates in team goals such as volunteering, patriotism, kindness, initiative, teamwork, advocacy, spirit, skills and leadership. Each team member has the opportunity to be nominated for an award in each of these areas through a program titled Project Step Up. This program not only encourages positive behaviors, but also facilitates personal growth and results in positive outcomes in our school and our community. MHS cheer has a long history of excellence in both community involvement and performance. Our team recently received numerous awards at UCA summer clamp including: 1st place in Sideline Performance (Varsity) 1st place in Overall Game Day Performance (Varsity) 2nd place in Cheer Performance (Varsity) 2nd place in Camp Routine Performance (Varsity) Most Improved Team Award (JV) UCA All-American Award - Kaitlyn Nelson (Senior) and Taylor Arellano (Senior) In summary, we are cheer-LEADERS! A family of spirited teammates doing what we love, loving what we do and having a positive impact in the process!
