Newtown Boys Basketball Fundraiser

About Us

The Newtown High School Basketball program competes in the South West Conference (SWC) at the levels of Varsity, Junior Varsity and Freshman. The SWC is comprised of 14 schools. Here is a quick recap for our varsity squad last year. We went 6-5 in a shortened regular season, but that record hardly tells our story. After starting 2-5, we went on to win 4 in a row with a tough schedule of days. Due to makeups necessitated by coronavirus protocol we had to play three games in as many days, and four contests in five to close out the regular slate. We advanced to the SWC quarterfinals before a season came to an end. We look forward to hopefully getting back to some normalcy this season and playing tough Nighthawk basketball!
