As a coach you want to create the safest environment for the kids and help them grow as human beings. Bring your heart and hustle to every practice and game. "In the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years"

I have coached at Santa Barbara High school for the last 24 years (with several breaks for grad school, marriage, and children). I am currently the head coach of the freshman basketball team at SBHS (my wife is the assistant coach). I have also coached my sons teams at the YMCA and The Page. I started a local club team with my wife, Triple Threat, 9 years ago to be able to teach our sons and their friends about the fundamentals of basketball. As they rapidly progressed, we felt it best for them to be taught by people with more time and knowledge than us. Our older son, Andre, is a junior in high school and plays on the Varsity basketball team at SBHS, as well as the Varsity Magic basketball team. Our younger son, Carter, plays on the 8th grade Magic (Red) team. They love the game. I played varsity basketball at Lompoc High School and was on the all defensive team, a North County All-Star, on the Lompoc High 1993 CIF semi-final team.
