Hello, My name is Michael Dotson, the Head Coach of the Saginaw Valley State University Cheer Team. I have been involved in the world of cheerleading for about 15 years, from being an athlete, assistant coach, to head tumbling coach, and head cheerleading coach. I was a collegiate athlete for Eastern Michigan University for three years, where we became 2021 NCA Collegiate Nationals Champions. From there, I became the assistant coach for the 2021-2022 season, where we finished 2nd against 13 teams in our division. After the amazing experiences and time that I had at Eastern Michigan University, it was time to grow to even bigger heights and I became the new head coach for the 2022-2023 season at Saginaw Valley. In addition to my role as the head coach at SVSU, I am also the head tumbling coach and Head cheerleading coach for Bay City Champion Force. I cannot wait to see the amazing things we accomplish this season.
