This is Luis’ fifth year coaching with the CDA Slammers organization. His high energy coaching style and high expectations has helped develop young players on and off the field. As a player, Luis played 4 years at California State University of Bakersfield from 1990-1993. He then played professionally for CCV Hydra in California, Vorskla Poltava in Ukraine, Nashville Metros in Tennessee and SV Darmstadt 98 in Germany. Luis has been working with young players since 1990. Throughout his collegiate and professional career, he helped run soccer camps and clinics. Once retired from professional soccer, he moved to Chicago and helped manage Total Soccer, an organization that provided training, coaching, camps and clinics to the local clubs in the surrounding area. Luis is married since 1998 to his college sweetheart Kim and they have two beautiful boys: Zenden and Giovani ages 12 and 10 respectively. As a son of Argentine parents, Luis’ love for soccer was inevitable and he hopes to pass on the love for the sport to not only his sons, but all the children he works with.
