South Torrance Girls Softball Fundraiser

Welcome to the SOUTH HIGH SOFTBALL fundraising page! We are excited to be kicking off the 2023 season. As you know, the softball program is basically self-funded. We get very little financial support from the school or the district and rely on fundraising to make sure the girls have everything they need--a nice field, uniforms, equipment, etc. With money we have raised in the past several seasons, we: purchased our own mower so we can take care of our outfield grass, but it's time for a new one. We also installed a new outfield fence, purchased and built our new batting cage, purchased a scoreboard, upgraded the outfield grass irrigation system and reseeded the grass (it's the best it's ever been since I've been coaching here), and added 50 tons of dirt to the infield and had it laser-leveled so it wouldn't flood when it rains (it held up great with all the rain we received). But there is always more to do. We expect to have a nice banquet again. We take care of our seniors with banners and end-of-the-year gifts in recognition of their contributions. We try to have special events during the year to promote team bonding. It all costs money. We set a yearly goal of raising $500 per player, and in the past have gone about that various ways. Blast has proved to be a very successful source of fundraising for us and we are sticking with it! The money we raise through this fundraiser will continue to directly benefit the girls in the program, as there are always needs.
