Shelton High School Drama Club Fundraiser

This year, our Spring Musical will be Rock of Ages: High School Edition! The SHS Drama Club is fully funded by the support of local businesses, family and friends. Your generosity is vital to our program's success! Your tax deductible donation will go towards certain expenses such as costumes, set materials and construction, equipment and lighting rentals, the purchase of the scripts and the rights associated with "Rock of Ages" and printing the programs. This year, we will also have a live band and music. In addition, we would also like to provide transportation and admittance to the Sondheim Awards at the Shubert Theater this summer for our cast. No matter the size of contribution, we appreciate your support and hope you will come see our performance!

About Us

The SHS Drama Club is led by the following dedicated staff members: Katherine Sedlock (Director/Choreographer/Costumer) Fiona Bryson (Musical Director/Orchestra Coordinator) Justin Zenchuk (Tech Design) Joe Sedlock (Academic Advisor) Last year, after a two-year COVID-enforced hiatus, the high school drama club put on its spring musical without missing a beat. The production level led to the club receiving a school record 8 award nominations. The SHS Drama Club’s spring production, “Seussical: The Musical,” earned eight Stephen Sondheim nominations, including best musical, with performers also up for best actor and best actress. The eight nominations match a school best earned two years ago with the club’s production of “Chicago.” Along with best musical, best direction and best choreography, the club also received nominations for best actor (freshman Ben Souza as Horton the Elephant), best costume design (Kayla Gzyms, Megan Loiacano and Kylee Taylor), and best supporting actress (Aine Saranich as Sour Kangaroo). Kate McPadden (Gertrude McFuzz) and Maya Giampaolo (Boy/Jojo) were both nominated for best actress.
