Throughout my coaching career I have held several titles, on both sides of the ball, and 3 years head coaching experience at the Pop Warner level. I was fortunate enough to be mentored by several local Santa Ana coaching legends such as Coach Dave Madrid (Saddleback High School, Santa Ana Pop Warner, Saddleback Valley Pop Warner), Coach Joe Cruriel and Dave Gonzalez(30+ years as coaches with Santa Ana Pop Warner), Coach Rod Peasak (20+ Years Saddleback High School Offensive coach at every level). When it comes to coaching, I have found that you are a product of the coaches you have learned from, and I am proud to have the coaching lineage I come from. I view my responsibility as a coach is first and foremost to mold these kids into leaders, cultivate a team building atmosphere, and instill physical and mental discipline. 1990-1992- Played H.S. football at Saddleback H.S., Santa Ana, Ca, where I played QB/SS Sophomore and Junior Year led the J.V. team to Back to Back Sea View League Championships. 1993- Played Varsity football as the starting Strong Safety, where I was nominated for the team Headhunter award for leading the team in pass breakups. 1997-1998 Coached Saddleback High School Freshman football team as the Offensive Line and Defensive Backs coach. 2000-2004 Coached for Santa Ana Pop Warner from Mighty Might, to Jr. PeeWee. 2006-2010- Coached for Saddleback Valley Pop Warner.

Seven years’ experience with Pop Warner football as a defensive coordinator. My mission is to inspire young athletes to set & accomplish goals, work hard, follow instruction, be respectful, push limits, overcome diversity, and strive for success. All while having fun playing a game they love. As a coach, I want to help beginners find their passion and return players develop their craft. I encourage communication, effort, accountability, flexibility, competition, fun, and a space for players to develop new skills and fundamentals.

I am Joey Navarro. I'm originally from LA and most of my family is up there. I have been living in North County since 2004 when I got orders back to Camp Pendleton and retired from the Marine Corps in 2009. I have coached football for over 20 years and girls softball for 15 years. Coaching is a passion for me and absolutely love every part of it. I have coached everything from flag, travel ball, and at the varsity level. My wife, Shady, and I have been together for 29 years (since high school) and we have four kids; Andrew 28, Amanda 24, Ace 12, and Abell 12.

Hello everybody, I’m coach Shea Castañeda and I’m a assistant coach DB/WR on the vista panthers 12u. I’ve been around football my whole life and played the sport i love coaching and want nothing more for kids to enjoy the same game as I did growing up and finding the true beauty and passion about it. It’s my second year in coaching and I love every second about it. I want to continue to grow and learn with the kids and show them how to play the game we love and also, have them show us the fun in coaching and building a team during the season and thriving together. Steve Sibiski. Defense Coordinator for the Vista High Freshman Football team. I have been coaching youth football for 12 years. 11 of those years with Vista Pop Warner. I have 20 years of youth sports coaching experience total as I have also coached baseball and wrestling. I have also invested times into getting my Level 1 USA Track and Field certifications. My goal is to help our Freshmen achieve their athletic goals and develop an internal drive to take ownership of their situation and control the outcome. I want to help them build the foundation to become a good leader, for themselves, for their team, for their friends, family, and their community. And to help them develop the tools they will need to be successful in their future endeavors both on and/or off the field.

Hello everyone my name is Daniel. Jimenez and i am an assistant OL/DL coach and I am going on my fourth year coaching for VPW. I played 3 and a half years in high school on the line and played both ways of the ball. I also have 2 sons Daniel. Jr(13) and Josiah(12) who are also in the program and it has been amazing to see their progress thru the years. I find joy in being able to show the kids everything I know, and more of what I am learning which having amazing coaches guide me has helped me to ensure we get the kids where they need to be. I look forward to many more years of VPW football and can't wait to start the season.
