Coach Farrell started playing lacrosse at Libertyville High School in the northern suburbs of Chicago in 1992. He was a 3 year starter on the varsity team earning numerous team, conference and state honors. He went on to play club lacrosse at Illinois State University. He would later relocate to Savannah GA. As the youth lacrosse scene gained momentum in Savannah, coach Farrell was brought on to coach at Blessed Sacrament middle school. From there he would go on to serve as head junior varsity and assistant varsity coach at Benedictine Military Academy. For the next few years he would return to coach at the middle school level with the local travel lacrosse team the Top Left Golden Hares. Following a hiatus from coaching in which he earned his Masters degree in the arts of teaching, Coach Farrell was hired at South Effingham High School. He is looking forward to his first opportunity to be a head varsity lacrosse coach and is excited for the future of the boys lacrosse program at South Effingham!
