Ron Carter
Head Coach
(317) 450-1963
Coach Carter’s passion for basketball started early in his life and remains just as strong today bringing 40 years of experience to the Indiana Pride Club. His dedication and commitment to assist young women and men pursue their goals and dreams through the sport of basketball is, in his words, “THE Ultimate Championship.” His first coaching position was as both a player and coach for his church’s men’s team. That moment sparked what has carried forward to his present position while covering all levels in both the men’s and women’s game. In 1983, Coach Carter was part of leading the Boys’ Varsity program, at Springhill Christian Academy, to a State and National Championship with a State Runner-Up finish in 1984. The following year he was named Men’s Head Basketball Coach at Northwest Bible College in Minot, North Dakota where he served for two years and lead them to a National Runner-Up finish in the NBCAA tournament. Returning home to Indiana, Coach Carter continued serving on the Boys side then transitioned to the Girls game in 2008. That switch created the opportunity for him to accept the Head Girls Varsity position at his alma mater, Monrovia High School where he would remain for three seasons. Coach Carter’s desire and focus is to give young people a chance to grow or as he says “stretch their rubber band” both on and off the court so they will be able to do more and be more! And for that, we are grateful and proud to have him as part of the Indiana Pride Basketball Club.
