My name is Aleksis. I am from Saginaw, MI. Growing up, I was one of those kids who tried everything. I played t-ball, soccer, volleyball, softball, I was on a dance company, I did Karate and Hapkido but nothing stuck the way basketball did for me. I started playing basketball when I was 8, and played every year up until I tore my ACL the summer before my junior year. I have played basketball for my schools, I played for the Saginaw Township Rec League and I played AAU for the Lady Warriors. When I went to CMU, I became a student assistant for their Women’s Basketball. That’s where I became interested in coaching. I pursued a degree in psychology with a minor in athletic coaching and have most recently been coaching the 5/6th grade girls team at SASA/Handley. I’m excited for the opportunity to coach some older young women!! Let’s get to work!
