I have been around the game of baseball most of my life and I am still learning more about it every year. I have been coaching at the high school level for 15 years, with the last 9 years in the Burnsville High School baseball program. I currently serve as a varsity assistant coach and an infield coach for the varsity and junior varsity teams. In the offseason, I also run a pitching and catching clinic, and help with a hitting clinic, for youth baseball players in the Burnsville area.

Mick graduated from Northfield High School in 1982 where he was a 3 sport athlete. He received his undergraduate degree in physical education and adaptive physical education from Augsburg College and his master’s degree from Mankato State in education. He was inducted into the Augsburg Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006 and the Northfield Athletic Hall of fame in 2012. Mick has been teaching in the Burnsville school district for 34 years and has coached many sports. Coach Scholl coached 13 years under Neal Jeppson before taking over the head coaching reins in 2003. His teams have won four conference titles, been in the section championship game nine times winning four section titles, state runner-up in 2010, state champions in 2011, and placed 5th in the state tournament in 2016 . Mick has coached in the Play Ball Minnesota All Star Series twice, and was honored as Class AAA Coach of the Year in 2010. He is also the Section 3AAAA rep for the coaches association. In 2018 he was the recipient of Craig Anderson Ethics in Coaching Award given by the state high baseball coaches association. Mick has been involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes since high school and continues to be part of a coaches Bible study. Mick lives in Burnsville with his wife Jessica and has 3 children, Megan, Robby, and Amelia.

Head coach 9th grade

Brad grew up in St. James, MN, where he graduated from St. James High School, and enjoyed playing multiple successful years of varsity baseball and football for the Saints. He attended college at South Central College and Minnesota State University-Mankato, where he earned degree in Business Administration/Accounting. After college, Brad continued to play State Amateur League Baseball for a number of years, followed by stints playing fast-pitch and slow-pitch softball. Brad has coached baseball with Burnsville High School and other programs for over 20 years. He has also coached in Burnsville football programs for nearly as many years. He and his wife Lori have also been very involved over the years with the Burnsville Baseball Boosters, as well as other booster organizations and youth athletic programs. They both absolutely love working with the kids!!! Brad is extremely grateful and excited for the opportunity to coach with the Burnsville Baseball program and help in other ways to continue the strong Burnsville Baseball tradition and provide a positive experience for the young men in our program! Born and raised in Burnsville, graduated from Burnsville in 2017. Lettered in baseball and hockey. Attended Dakota County Technical College for 2 years. Now I work full time for Prior Lake Savage Schools as a Building Engineer. When I’m not on a baseball field I enjoy fishing and biking.
