Played singles for thr first time this year, did great!

Elise and Gabbi were down early in all 3 of their matches vs Foothill, but, were able to get mid-set service breaks, trade service holds and close out the sets on strong service games. Well-played for a clean sweep.

On the way to 3 bagel sets... played round three with subs from other team vs. JSerra partner and Crean sub... fun tennis in round 3!

Great win over Zhang in the opening round... someone she did not beat last time. Adds 2 sets to our tally.

Singles players swept ALL NINE sets today pretty easily, giving the Lions the 9 points they needed for a tie! Elise only gave up 2 games in 3 sets.

Elise had a GREAT loss today vs last years undisputed league champion; 5-7.. Getting this amount of games vs. this Champion was amazing... Elise had a real chance to win the whole set..

Elise swept all 3 today but it was not easy. Down 1-4 and 4-5 in round 2, Elise came back for a 7-5 victory. This was clutch! BUT, best for last, she upset Dana's #1 player 6-4 to seal the Lions' inaugural victory over the Dolphins. Had Elise not pulled this out.... the 9-9 tie would probably be won by the Lions by a mere 2 games.... I like this ending much better!

Slow start for these 2 today, but, hammered the next 2 opponents, easily...receiving #1 seed in Trinity league as sophomores is AWESOME!

This duo was spectacular today in a clean sweep. Two of their sets were "come-from-behind", one, a closely fought tiebreaker. This sweep will be discussed at the league seeding meeting [should we be able to play].

With Sophia Moncur, moving up from JV, answered the call by recording their 1st and 2nd Trinity League varsity wins! vs OLu's legitimate line 1 and 2 doubles teams. The latter win was from being down 1 - 4!

Elise had two long matches especially the initial set vs Sage #1, which she won 6-4. This took the wind out of this player. The 2nd set for Elise was contested, for awhile, Elise came from behind, again, with a strong finish, 6-4. Then she closed it our with a 6-3 victory over a senior JV player!

Elise, starting at our #1 position, dropped her opening round set, but bounced back to easily win her next 2 sets in decisive fashion.

Elise swept ALL 3 SETS of singles this afternoon, for the first time this season....just in time for our Trinity League opener next week vs Santa Margarita. In her 2nd round match vs Josie (former JV player from JSerra), Elise fought back from being down 2 match points to win the last 3 games for a 7-5 victory. Thank you for fighting hard to the end!
