Placentia, CA — In a hard fought battle,Valencia and Cypress went to extra innings. Miranda Hillman held the Centurions scoreless. Ryan Fish made a great play in the top of the 8th to end the inning and keep Cypress off the scoreboard. Emily Iannotti pitched a great game for Cypress keeping the Tigers off balance for most of the game. In the bottom of the eighth Taylor Brown came up with two outs and blooped a single just out of the reach of the second baseman and right fielder. Lauren Saucedo scored from second base giving Valencia the win. The Tigers are 1-0 in league and 9-2 overall. The Centurions drop to 0-1 in league and 8-6 overall.
