Football — Wide Receiver
Track & Field

About Me

I am currently a senior at Calvary Chapel Christian High School in Las Vegas and I play football and run track. I have been enrolled at Calvary since the sixth grade and I feel I have truly benefited from the amazing teachers and currently have a 4.1 GPA. Calvary sports programs have struggled over the years for various reasons and we have had three different head coaches in my four years of playing. I do believe our new head coach (Mike Bell) has a great amount of experience and is truly invested in turning our program around. I'm really happy and excited to see that, but a little disappointed that I only have this year to learn from the coaching staff and see the program grow. That's not to say I haven't had some good people with good values around me, but I feel I obviously have so much more to learn in life and on the football field. I have played varsity football since my freshman year and my main position has always been wide receiver, but I also return punts, kickoffs, and have played running back and defensive back. I will play whatever position is needed by my team and coaches, but I prefer wide receiver and I'm very comfortable lining up in the slot or outside. I was honored to be a captain last year and again this year. You will only find stats (maxpreps.com) on me for one game (against Needles, California) from last year because our stats were rarely submitted, but I averaged about 8 catches a game for over a hundred yards per game and had seven total touchdowns. Due to Covid, our season was pushed back this year and started in March. We have a five game season, but two games have already been canceled due to Covid protocol. We have had our own issues at Calvary due to a lack of players in general, but mainly a lack of lineman. We had to change our offense two days before our first game and go with the unconventional Emory and Henry offensive formation. I have been proud of our coaches and team for making the adjustments and working hard. I have been playing both ways and on all special teams. I will post some video soon. Unfortunately track was canceled last year, but as a 15 year old sophomore I took 8th in State at the 100m (11.61) and was a part of the team that took 1st in State in the 4x100m and the 4x200m relays. My 40 time is 4.52, but I am working on my start and rotation, so I'm confident that I will improve on that time. I'm also looking forward to track this year because I feel my 100m time should be under 11 seconds and I hope to be the fastest in Nevada 2A. I work hard and I really feel I could thrive with good coaching and direction. I'm looking for an opportunity to play football in college and benefit from those around me. I'm humble and sometimes quiet, but I feel my greatest football attributes are my hands, my quickness, my work ethic, and my desire to learn and be coached. If you feel I might fit in well at your school and in your football program, I'm willing to do whatever it takes to prove you right for giving me a chance.
