Perth Amboy, NJ — The Bombers fall to division opponent Perth Amboy by the score of 59-41. The Bombers struggled on the offensive end. Freshman Sam Jones led the Bombers in scoring with 11 points. Freshman Chidi Chukwurah added 9 points. Sam Omokeji and Joe Santamaria chipped in 8points and 7 points. Keithan Shuler and Sam Jones both earned the Blue Collar Hard hat Award.

North Brunswick, NJ — Sayreville cut a double digit lead to 3 heading into the half with tough hard nosed basketball. The Bombers ran out of gas and fell to a tough North Brunswick team by the score of 68-55. Sayreville was lead by Freshman Sam Jones with 22 points and Freshman Chidi Chukwurah with 10 points. Chukwurah earned the Blue Collar Hard Hat Award for the second game in a row with his toughness and effort. Chidi battle much bigger players but never backed down.The Bombers will travel to the top team in the division South Plainfield on Tuesday, January 10.

Parlin, NJ — Sayreville battled an experienced Spotswood team but fell 83-60. Sayreville trailed 7 points at half but struck first and went on a 7-0 run to tie the game at 41. Spotswood regained the lead and extended the lead for the remainder of the game. Freshman Sam Jones led the Bombers with 19 points. Sam Omekeji scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds. Junior Guard, Cristian Mele added 6 points off the bench. Sayreville will travel to New Brunswick on Thursday, January 5 for a 7pm game.

Little Silver, NJ — The Bombers finish out the year of 2022 with a stellar defensive performance in route to 52-41 victory. Sayreville was led by Freshman,Sam Jones with 24 points which included six 3 point field goals. Freshman, Chidi Chukwurah added 10 points. Sophomore, Keithan Shuler chipped in with 8 points. Jayden Mele gave the Bombers a spark off the bench with some great defense which included a momentum changing charge. Jayden Mele and Sam Omokeji earned the Blue Collar Mentality Hard Hat Award for the game.

Little Silver, NJ — Sayreville got off to a slow start against Middletown North and trailed 21-6 after the first quarter. Sayreville showed fight as they hung in the remainder for the 3 quarters. The 15 point margin in the first was too much to overcome. Freshman, Sam Jones led Sayreville in scoring with 16 points. Sophomore, Keithan Shuler added 11 points. Junior, Devon Mitchell played tough down low scoring 7 points along with 10 rebounds. Devon Mitchell earned the games Blue Collar Mentality Hard Hat Award.

North Plainfield, NJ — The Bombers fell to division opponent North Plainfield 68-57. Sam Jones led all scorers with 23 points. jones also recorded 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. Junior guard Jayden Mele scored career high 11 points which included three 3pt field goals. Sophomore, Keithan Suler added 7 points and 10 rebounds.

Parlin, NJ — The Bombers lost to division rival Woodbridge 76-52. Woodbridge pulled away in the second quarter when the connected on several 3 point shots. The Bombers battled but could not get the scored back under single digits. Senior, Sam Omokeji led the Bombers with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Omokeji also won the Blue Collar Hard Hat Award for the game. Freshman, Chidi Chukwurah chipped in with 14 points.

South Amboy, NJ — Sayreville rallies from 17 down to beat Calvary Christian. Freshman Sam Jones led the Bombers with 18 points. Freshman Chidi Chukwurah added 15 points and 6 rebounds. Sophomore Keithan Shuler added 15 points. Devon Mitchell pitched in with 8 points. The Bombers move to 1-1 and will host Woodbridge on Tuesday.

Edison, NJ — The Bombers got off to a slow start and trailed Edison 17-4 after the first period. The Bombers ended up fighting back tying the ball game at 30. Edison regained the lead and hung on to win a hard fought battle. Freshman, Sam Jones led the Bombers with 19 points. Sophomore, Keithan Shuler added 10 points. Sam Omokeji won the Blue Collar Hard Hat Award and added 8 points. The Bombers will face Calvary Christian on Saturday at 4pm in South Amboy for the Friends of South Amboy Charity Game.

Marlboro, NJ — The Bombers were eliminated from the state tournament by the number 1 seed Marlboro. Marlboro coming off a shore conference championship took the early lead and did not look back. The Bombers hung in there during the first quarter. The Bombers were led by Max Negron with 17 points which included five 3pt. field goals. Peter Luster and Santino Whitaker added 13 and 12 respectively. The Bombers end their season with a record of 11-14.

Aberdeen, NJ — The Bombers traveled to Matawan for a non conference contest. The Bombers beat Matawan 62-59 with a total team effort. The Bombers were led by another balanced attacked with Tino Whitaker scoring 15, Peter Luster with 14 points and Max Negron with 10. Alvin Arroyo gave the Bombers a great spark off the bench earning him the Hard Hat. The Bombers will travel to Old Bridge on Thursday, February 24.

Colonia, NJ — The Bombers were eliminated in the GMC Tournament by Colonia with a score of 86-53. The Bombers battled in the first half. Jaden Hargrove led the Bombers with 14 points. Max Negron added 12 points and 5 rebounds. Sam Omokeji chipped in with 7 points.

Parlin, NJ — The Bombers got off to a hot start against Metuchen taking the lead 43-30 in the first half. The Bombers kept the lead for the remainder of the game. Jaden Hargrove led the way with 17 points, 6 assists and 3 steals. Max Negron added 14 points including four 3 point field goals. Peter Luster and Kyler Crespo added 13 and 12 points respectively. The Bombers will head to Colonia on Thursday for a 6pm start.

Carteret, NJ — Sayreville won on the road, 79-45 over Carteret. Max Negron and Peter Luster led the way with 15 points each. The Bombers got a total effort from the entire team. Every player scored for the Bombers. Sayreville will head to Edison on Thursday for a huge Divisional match up.

Iselin, NJ — The Bombers overcome a slow start vs. JFK on the road. The Bombers fought back and took the lead early in the 3rd quarter. Max Negron led the Bombers with 13 points and 4 rebounds. Tino Whitaker scored 12 points and had 6 steals. Jaden Hargrove added 10 points, 4 steals and 3 assists. JJ Kelly provided a huge spark off the bench with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.

Colonia, NJ — The Bombers played one of their best halves of basketball all year in the fist half. Their defense caused Colonia some confusion on the offensive end and the Bombers were hot from the 3 point arc. The Bombers went cold in the second half as Colonia pulled away. The Bombers look to build off the first half and put together an entire game with that high level gameplay. The Bombers were led by Peter Luster with 12 points. Kyler Crespo added 9 points and Max Negron chipped in with 8.

Parlin, NJ — The Bombers ran into the #6 team in the state in St Thomas. St. Thomas took the early lead and did not look back. The Bombers will use this experience and build off of it as they head into the final stretch of the regular season. Peter Luster and Jaden Hargrove led the Bombers in scoring with 14 points each. The Bombers will travel to Colonia on Tuesday, January 24.

Woodbridge, NJ — The Bombers win a thriller at Woodbridge in 4 overtimes. The score at the end of regulation was 54-54. The Bombers pulled away in the 4th overtime with a huge three point basket by Sophomore Emanuel Domingo. Tino Whitaker led the way with 28 points including key free throws down the stretch. Max Negron added 12 points with some key buckets in OT. Peter Luster added 11 points. The Bombers battled foul trouble throughout the game but came up big down the stretch. JJ Kelly added a spark off the bench with incredible hustle plays! The Bombers finished the 4th overtime with key buckets and free throws to pull away from Woodbridge. The final score was 81-72. The Bombers will host one of the top teams in the state, St. Thomas Aquinas at 3pm.

Little Silver, NJ — Sayreville drops a heart breaker at the buzzer. The Bombers came out and took control of the game but went cold late in the game. Long Branch hung around and hit a buzzer beater to win the game 46-45. The Bombers take on Red Bank tomorrow, December 30 at Red Bank Regional High School.

The Bombers took a tough loss to a good opponent and look to use this game to get some of the rust off. Jaden Hargrove led the Bombers in scoring with 12 points.
