North Brunswick, NJ — Sayreville cut a double digit lead to 3 heading into the half with tough hard nosed basketball. The Bombers ran out of gas and fell to a tough North Brunswick team by the score of 68-55. Sayreville was lead by Freshman Sam Jones with 22 points and Freshman Chidi Chukwurah with 10 points. Chukwurah earned the Blue Collar Hard Hat Award for the second game in a row with his toughness and effort. Chidi battle much bigger players but never backed down.The Bombers will travel to the top team in the division South Plainfield on Tuesday, January 10.

Parlin, NJ — Sayreville battled an experienced Spotswood team but fell 83-60. Sayreville trailed 7 points at half but struck first and went on a 7-0 run to tie the game at 41. Spotswood regained the lead and extended the lead for the remainder of the game. Freshman Sam Jones led the Bombers with 19 points. Sam Omekeji scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds. Junior Guard, Cristian Mele added 6 points off the bench. Sayreville will travel to New Brunswick on Thursday, January 5 for a 7pm game.

Sayreville was led by Freshman,Sam Jones with 24 points which included six 3 point field goals. Freshman, Chidi Chukwurah added 10 points. Sophomore, Keithan Shuler chipped in with 8 points. Jayden Mele gave the Bombers a spark off the bench with some great defense which included a momentum changing charge. Jayden Mele and Sam Omokeji earned the Blue Collar Mentality Hard Hat Award for the game.

Woodbridge, NJ — The Bombers win a thriller at Woodbridge in 4 overtimes. The score at the end of regulation was 54-54. The Bombers pulled away in the 4th overtime with a huge three point basket by Sophomore Emanuel Domingo. Tino Whitaker led the way with 28 points including key free throws down the stretch. Max Negron added 12 points with some key buckets in OT. Peter Luster added 11 points. The Bombers battled foul trouble throughout the game but came up big down the stretch. JJ Kelly added a spark off the bench with incredible hustle plays! The Bombers finished the 4th overtime with key buckets and free throws to pull away from Woodbridge. The final score was 81-72. The Bombers will host one of the top teams in the state, St. Thomas Aquinas at 3pm.
