Cathedral City, CA — The Lady Vanguards traveled to the lions den to take on a very tough and hungry Cathedral City team. The dual started with an exhibition match at 143 lbs. The Vanguards Dulce Paredes got things rolling for the Vanguards with a 10-2 win.

Santa Ana, CA — The lady vanguards entered the weekend missing a few of their starters but was more than glad to welcome senior captain Nancy Silva back to the line up. The lady vanguards showed a lot of improvement from last year. Last year the lady vanguards left with three placers and this year we left with 5! The girls fought hard all tournament and battled their way to earn their medals.

Orange, CA — What a great day for the El Modena Vanguard Track and Field team. The Vanguards improved their record to 5-0 by defeating the Villa Park Spartans 90-37. It was a team effort as great performances were turned in by both the boys and girls teams. The two MVP's of the meet were Jake Angier for the Boys and Gwen Woodard for the girls. The kids really seem to be flourishing under the tutelage of Coach Miguel and Coach Daniels and the rest of the Vanguard coaching staff.
