Mt. Pleasant, MI — The men’s Laker basketball team hosted the Alpena Community College Lumberjacks at Morey Courts. The Lakers handled the Lumberjacks 80-57 in a fast-paced, yet defensive contest. They were headlined by freshman Noah Pruitt (Okemos) who shot 4-6 from the 3-point line, tallying 16 points with 3 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 assists. Satchel Love (Detroit) had a couple of rim rocking dunks while accumulating a double-double with 15 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. The Lakers also saw good contributions from Manny McLemore (Wentzville) with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Coach Kaleb House and the Lakers improved to 2-1 on the season, and will be traveling to Schoolcraft College for a showdown with the Ocelots on November 20th.
