Zay Rodriguez hits a late 2 pointer, Oilers beat Saginaw United 51-49.
Mount Pleasant, MI — The Oilers held a double digit lead at the end of the first three quarters. However, Saginaw United wasn’t going to go down without a fight. The Phoenix fought back to close the gap to single digits. In the end, Zay Rodriguez got his shining moment hitting a 2 pointer with about 3 seconds left on the clock in the 4th quarter. The buzzer beater 3 attempt by the Phoenix was no good, and the Oilers survived the Phoenix 51-49 to rise from the ashes with a win.

Midland, MI — Zay Rodriguez, Xavier Creguer and Braylen Grench all scored in double figures and the Oilers got a clutch shot block on a would be game-winning three for Midland. They win this one 52-50 to stay at just one loss on the season and add another win to the win column.

Mount Pleasant — This game was close all night long and it really felt like it could go either teams’ way. However, the Oilers hit some clutch buckets and had clutch defense in the 4th quarter to pull away and beat Garber 51-43.

Mount Pleasant — The Oilers hit a couple of three’s early on, especially Tyler Schell and Zay Rodriguez. They played good defense, got clutch shots to fall, and took down Shepherd 44-32. They have now won 6 in a row and head into 2026 with a 6-1 record.

Mount Pleasant, MI — It wasn’t the prettiest of games, but a strong first quarter from the Oilers gave them an early lead and they stayed in front the rest of the way. They were able to stand tall on defense and draw fouls to earn clutch free throws down the stretch. Oiler win it 32-24.

Oilers continue to write their legacy. Taking down Lowell 41-21 at Legacy Field and moving onto the finals.
Greenville, MI — The Oilers continued their dominance on the season. Xavier Creguer had 2 long rushing touchdowns and a couple of passing touchdowns and Grahm Phillips added on a few rushing touchdowns. The Oilers had a few clutch 4th down stops defensively as well. The Oilers are onto the state finals and will play at Ford Field on November 30th with a state championship trophy on the line.

Mount Pleasant, MI — Fresh off being named an athlete of the month for the month of October, Grahm Phillips kicked off the scoring with a 12 yard rushing touchdown. Xavier Creguer and Zay Rodriguez connected for 3 touchdowns and the Oiler defense made some key stops to get a 28-14 win over East Grand Rapids. The Oilers are onto the semifinals. Mount Pleasant, MI — The Oilers came out red hot on offense tonight and played strong defense. They had a couple passing touchdowns, a couple rushing touchdowns, and two interceptions. The Oilers claim the division 3 district championship and will move onto regional finals next Friday.

Oilers pull out all the tricks and treats as they get a Halloween night victory over Bay City Western.
Mount Pleasant, MI — Unlike their first matchup against the Warriors, the Oilers got it going much faster on offense tonight. Xavier Creguer provided 3 rushing touchdowns and 1 passing touchdown. Defensively, the Oilers had an interception and a fumble recovery. Oilers win it 35-14 to advance to the next round of the MHSAA playoffs next week against either Gaylord or Marquette. Oilers erupt for five rushing touchdowns to beat Ypsilanti 34-12 to finish the regular season 9-0.
Ypsilanti, MI — Grahm Phillips and Prosper Enehiroana both had 2 rushing touchdowns and Brady Johnston tacked one on as well. The defense also forced a plethora of punts as the Oilers won 34-12 to finish the regular season undefeated with a 9-0 record. Be on the lookout for updates from the MHSAA regarding playoff matchups.

Oiler defense comes up big, Phillips scores a late touchdown as the Oilers dissolve the Midland Chemics.
Mount Pleasant, MI — On a night that wasn’t very high scoring for either side, the Oiler defense stood tall and pitched a shutout. Noel Helm had two interceptions and the defense also had a couple of sacks and tackles for losses. The offensive highlight of the night was a late rushing touchdown by running back Grahm Phillips. Oilers win 10-0, improve to 8-0 and finish SVL play undefeated and with an SVL North champions title to show for. They will be on the road next week against Ypsilanti Communuty High School at 7pm for their regular season finale as they look to finish the regular season 9-0.

Oilers start slow but finish strong, topping Bay City Western 28-17
Auburn, MI — It was a slow start tonight for the Oilers as Bay City Western looked poised to pull off the upset tonight. However, Xavier Creguer overcame 3 interceptions and provided a rushing touchdown that gave the Oilers a 21-17 lead. Grahm Phillips had a late rushing touchdown that made it 28-17. The Oilers got a game sealing interception by Zay Rodriguez and won the game 28-17 to improve to 6-0 and stay undefeated on the year. They’ll be back at home next week against Traverse City West at 7pm.

Mount Pleasant, MI — The Oilers lit it up on offense throughout the night in their homecoming game against Bay City Central. The defense tamed the Wolves and the Oilers won the game 54-14 as stay undefeated and go to 5-0 on the year and 2-0 on conference play. The Oilers next home game will be on October 10th at 7pm against Traverse City West right back at Community Memorial Stadium.
