New Castle, PA — The Barons brought the fight with them to the field today to battle Altoona Cumming Motors. The Barons were down 7-0 going into the bottom of the 4th and found a way to pull it out, 10-9 in the bottom of the 7th. Shane Cato came in the 5th inning down 7-2 and kept the Barons in it enough to help them pull away with the victory. Brady Hansen lead the bats for the Barons with 2 hits, a single and a triple, also Hansen had 2 RBI's. In the bottom of the 7th the Barons wore 3 pitches to get base runners aboard followed by a Chase Tomko and Ryan Perretti hit then a Nathan Meeks walk off single. The Barons once again won as a team and continued to show heart no matter the circumstances of the game.

Altoona, PA — Matthew DuBois pitched a 6 inning gem with 12 strikeouts and zero runs given up. Matthew carved into Altoona's Johnston Reality from inning 1 and Nick Jacobs came in for the last inning to close it out with two strikeouts of his own. At the plate for the Barons Caleb Lehman blasted the Barons first home run of the season and Nick Jacobs hit a triple and a double. Caleb also lead the way with 2 RBI's followed by Gabe Yanssens, Brady Hansen, and Ethan Bintrim with one RBI a piece. Great teamwork defensively with big plays made by Nathan Meeks and Frank DeLuca to keep the score zero and all runners at bay. The Barons host Altoona Cumming Motors Sunday, July 3rd at Flaherty Field, first pitch is at 1pm.

Butler, PA — The Barons came out swinging and taking advantage on the bases. Anthony Ryan, Connor Evans, and Brady Hanson all scored 3 runs each for the Barons. Jake Vitale got the win throwing 4 full innings with 7 K’s. Brett Bobin and Shane Cato combined for 4 innings to keep the Blue Sox at bay for the rest of the game. Great defense all around from the outfield to the infield. Great team win. Next game is Saturday, June 4th at Pullman Park against the Butler Blue Sox in a 9 inning showdown.
