Zion, IL — Henry Stried was dominant on the mound again, striking out 13 in the Zee-Bees loss to Libertyville. One of the two hits allowed led to the Bees' demise. After a strike-out, two walks, and a hit by a pitch, a double scored two of the three Libertyville runs. The Zee-Bees fought back in the bottom of the first with Dominic Diliberti reaching on an error by the 3rd baseman. His courtesy runner, Sean Sarzaba, was out at 2nd on a ground ball by Andrew Carlson. With two out, Stried hit a double down the right field line, putting two runners in scoring position. But the Zee-Bees rally came to a close as the Libertyville pitcher got Malachi Baartz to pop out to end the inning. The Zee-Bees fought back again with 2 outs in the bottom of the second with Ryan Dunne and Kaden Oatsvall drawing walks. Dominic Diliberti then singled to right field, however, Ryan Dunne was thrown out at the plate by the Libertyville right fielder. The Zee-Bees tried again to push a run across in the bottom of the 3rd when Rafael "Junior" Villalobos and Henry Stried hit back-to-back singles to bring Malachi Baartz back to the plate. The Zee-Bees rally ended again when the Libertyville pitcher struck out Baartz on three pitches. Libertyville pushed another run across in the top of the 6th, but Dominic Leith was able to work out of the jam. He would do it again in the 7th getting the final batter of the inning to ground out to Sean Sarzaba. The Zee-Bees tried valiantly to come back in the bottom of the inning but had multiple hard-hit balls by Diliberti and AJ Neargarder go right to the fielder. The Zee-Bees return to action on 5/10, traveling to Libertyville High School at 4:45 pm.

Wheeling, IL — The Zee Bees couldn't keep up with the Wheeling Wildcats and fell 8-0 on Saturday.

Zion, IL — The Zee-Bees struggled to put runs on the board and could not stop the Stevenson offense, falling 11-0 at home. AJ Neargarder had the lone hit for the Zee-Bees, singling in the 4th inning. Henry Stried was on the pitcher's mound for the Bees last night, allowing 4 hits and 3 earned runs while striking out 9. The Zee Bees return to action, traveling to Wilmot High School on Saturday.

Lincolnshire, IL — The Zee-Bees fell to Stevenson by a score of 15-1. The Bees were outhit 15 to 4, with Stevenson hitting 3 home runs. The Zee-Bee's lone run of the day came on a home run to left-center field by Henry Stried. Marcelo Gonzalez went 2-2 at the plate to lead the Bees in hits. Dominic Diliberti also contributed a hit for the Bee's offense. The Zee-Bees return to action on Wednesday at home against Stevenson.

Waukegan, IL — In dramatic fashion under the lights at Bowen Park, the Zee-Bees defeated the Waukegan Bulldogs 4-3 to sweep the conference series.

Zion, IL — The Zee-Bees defeated the Waukegan Bulldogs by a score of 6-1 on Tuesday evening. The Bees got on the board in the first inning. Andrew Carlson drew a walk, scoring the first run. The Zee-Bees added to their total in the fourth inning, scoring an additional 5 runs. Rafael Villalobos, Henry Stried, and Carlson all drove in runs in the frame. Henry Stried threw a complete game three-hitter striking out 15 batters and helped lead the Zee-Bees to their first conference win of the season. Dominic Diliberti also contributed a double in the Bee's victory. The Zee-Bees return to action against Waukegan at Bowen park this Friday for the annual Battle at Bowen game.

Zion, IL — The Zee-Bees battle through snowy conditions in a back-and-forth game against the Antioch Sequiots. The Zee-Bees took the lead back in the bottom of the first starting with back-to-back doubles by Dominic Diliberti and AJ Neargarder. With two outs, Andrew Carlson roped a single to right field, scoring Neargarder. The Zee-Bees gave the lead back in the top of the 2nd with a few misplays in the field. However, they fought back in the bottom of the inning starting with Michael Gonzalez reaching base on an error. He was able to get to second beating a pick-off throw. Kaden Oatsvall joined Gonzalez on the bases with a walk. Dominic Diliberti put the ball in play, and reached on an error by the pitcher, scoring Gonzalez and moving Oatsvall to third. Sean Sarzaba came in to run for Diliberti and was thrown out trying to steal second, but Oatsvall was able to score on the throw down all while AJ Neargarder was at bat. Neargarder drew a two-out walk and then advanced to third on a passed ball while Rafael "Junior" Villalobos was at bat. Villalobos walked, but Henry Stried was struck out to end the Bee's rally. The Bee's bats were silenced in the 3rd while Antioch was able to put up more runs. Going into the bottom of the 4th the Zee-Bees were down 10-4. The Bees started the bottom of the 4th with a single from Marcelo Gonzalez. That was followed by a solid single from Dominic Diliberti. AJ Neargarder attempted to bunt for a hit, but Gonzalez was thrown out at 3rd. Rafael "Junior" Villalobos came up and hit a hard ground ball to the third basemen, who made an error, allowing the courtesy runner, Sean Sarzaba to score. Villalobos and Neargarder advanced to 2nd and 3rd respectively. Henry Stried drove both of them in with a line drive single to left center, making the score 10-7. The Bees scored again in the bottom of the 5th when Dominic Diliberti grounded into a fielder's choice scoring Michael Gonzalez bringing the score to 10-8. Antioch put two more runs up in the top of the 6th, but the Bees continued to fight back. Rafael "Junior" Villalobos singled to start the bottom of the 6th and was joined on the bases by Henry Stried when he was hit by a pitch. Andrew Carlson lined into a double play but was picked up by Malachi Baartz, who singled down the left field line, plating Junior. Baartz, however, was thrown out trying to stretch the single into a double leaving the Bees down 12-9. Antioch put up an insurance run in the top of the 7th placing the score at 13-9. With two outs in the bottom of the 7th, the Zee-Bees tried to rally one more time. Kaden Oatsvall, Dominic Diliberti, and AJ Neargarder walked bringing the tying run in Rafael "Junior" Villalobos to the plate. Junior worked the count full but was unable to win the battle, ending the game at 13-9.

Zion, IL — AJ Neargarder took the hard-luck loss against Lake Zurich as the Zee-Bees began to mount a comeback starting in the 4th inning. Henry Stried started the game, battling through 4 innings, allowing two earned runs and striking out 6. AJ Neargarder came in relief in the top of the 5th, allowing 4 earned runs on 5 hits, striking out 2. Neargarder started the Bee's comeback at the plate in the 4th inning drawing an 8-pitch walk. Henry Stried joined AJ on the bases drawing a walk of his own. Malachi Baartz singled, but Neargarder was thrown out at home. Dominic Diliberti followed Baartz's single with a hit of his own, driving in Sean Sarzaba, who ran for Henry. The Bees struck again the in the bottom of the 6th inning, again started by AJ Neargarder. Neargarder singled and then advanced to 3rd on an errant pickoff throw. Andrew Carlson followed Neargarder's single with one of his own, driving AJ in. Drew Carlson advanced to third on two separate wild pitches. Henry Stried then singled to center, driving in Carlson. Unfortunately, only Dominic Diliberti was the last Zee-Bee able to reach base in the inning, drawing a walk. The Bee's rally fell short and the game was called on account of darkness, with the Bees falling 7-3. The Zee Bees will return to action later this week.

Zion, IL — The Zee Bees fell tonight to the Mundelein Mustangs 5-1. Rafael "Junior" Villalobos took the loss for the Zee Bees throwing 4 strong innings only giving up two runs, scattering 7 hits, and striking out 4. The Mustangs put 3 across in the 5th against Sean Sarzaba in his first outing of the year to put the game out of reach for the Bees. Ryan Dunne came in relief of Sean and threw a solid 1 and 1/3's innings of relief, striking out 3. The Bees attempted to mount a comeback in the top of the 7th when Henry Stried hit a long double to the warning track in right-center field. Malachi Baartz moved him to third on a ground out to second and Dom Diliberti drove in the Bee's only run on a ground out to second. The Zee Bees are back at it against Mundelein tomorrow at 4:45 pm.

Hoffman Estates, IL — The Zee Bees fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 15-5 loss to Hoffman Estates on Thursday.

Zion, IL — Both teams were strong on the mound Wednesday, but the Zee Bees defeated Harvard Hornets Varsity 3-1. Zee Bee pitchers allowed just three hits to the Harvard Hornets.

Zion, IL — The Zee Bees nabbed the lead late in the game in a 5-3 victory over the Waukegan Bulldogs on Monday. The game was tied at two with the Zee Bees batting in the bottom of the sixth when Trevor Hutchison drew a walk, scoring one run.

Zion, IL — The Zee Bees watched the game slip away early and could't recover in a 9-0 loss to Mundelein on Tuesday. The Bees struggled to put their offense together, having only 4 runners reach base. Henry Stried threw a great game off the mound only allowing 4 hits over five innings, striking out 8. AJ Neargarder came in relief for the final two innings of the ball game. The Bees march in the playoffs begins Monday at 4:30 PM at home against the Waukegan Bulldogs.

Harvard, IL — The Zee Bees stayed in it until the end, but Harvard pulled away late in an 8-5 victory on Saturday. The game was tied at five with Harvard batting in the bottom of the sixth when the Hornets drew a walk, scoring one run.

Zion, IL — The Zee Bees fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 10-3 loss to Round Lake on Wednesday.

Waukegan, IL — The Zee-Bees fell to the Bulldogs 2-1 on a walkoff single in the bottom of the 7th. Henry Stried threw a complete game scattering 5 hits and striking out 8. Rafael Villalobos provided the Bees lone R.B.I scoring Trayvonn Foster. Malachi Baartz also contributed offensively with a single.

Libertyville, IL — It was a tough day for the Bees who fell 7-0 to the Libertyville Wildcats. Henry Stried took a 1-hitter into the 5th taking the loss for the Bees. The Wildcats broke a scoreless tie in the 5th with a 2-run single. Stried finished his day on the mound scattering 3 hits over 5 innings, striking out 8. The Zee-Bees couldn't get the bats going in the plate as the Wildcats threw a combined perfect game. The Bees return to action next week against the Waukegan Bulldogs.

Zion, IL — The Zee-Bees feel to the Patriots 11-0. The Bees struggled defensively but Rafael Villalobos and Trevor Hutchison turned a pretty 6-4-3 double play in the 6th inning. Albert Alvarado and Henry Stried had the lone hits for the Bees. Stried took the loss surrendering 3 earned runs over 4 and a 1/3rd, striking out 7. The Bees are back at it again on Saturday against Wheeling.

Lake Zurich, IL — The Zee Bees were unable to get things going in the middle innings falling to Lake Zurich 9-4. Henry Stried threw 5 innings, surrendering 3 earned runs, striking out 6, and picking off a runner at 2nd base. The Bees offense was lead by Sebastian Guzman who blasted a first inning double to plate the Bees first run. Dominic Diliberti, Rafael Villalobos, and Mateo McCabe also contributed hits to the Zee-Bees offensive attack. The Bees are back at it again at home on Thursday against Lake Zurich.

Andrew Neargarder and Sebastian Guzman crossed the plate in the bottom of the 4th to scoring the Bees first runs. Henry hit the Bees first home run of the season in the bottom of the 6th. The Bees play again at home Saturday against the Rolling Meadows Mustangs.

Gurnee, IL — The Zee-Bees battled back from a 9 run deficit, scoring 7 runs in the 5th inning. The Bees had the game tying run at the plate multiple times in the bottom of the 6th but couldn’t push many more runs across the plate, losing the game 10-8. Rafael Villalobos Jr. takes the tough luck loss, throwing 2 and a third innings of stellar relief. The Zee-Bees compiled 9 hits with Junior and Henry Stried leading the way with multiple hits and 4 RBI’s between the two.

Gurnee, IL — The Zee Bees struggled defensively today giving up 7 unearned runs. Henry Streid took the loss throwing a solid 4 and 2/3rds striking out 5. Henry, AJ Neargarder, Trevor Hutchison, & Sebastian Guzman led the offense with a hit each with Sebastian driving in the Bees only run.
