Sandy Hook, CT — Nail-biting outcomes and contests against other unbeaten teams certainly have the potential to go either way. For Newtown High School’s girls’ lacrosse team, however, things have ended in their favor in every such instance through the first three weeks of action this spring.

Sandy Hook, CT — Newtown High School’s girls’ lacrosse team made it three consecutive wins over unbeaten teams, following up a 15-10 win at Masuk of Monroe on April 12 with a hard-fought 14-13 victory over visiting Cheshire, at Blue & Gold Stadium, on April 16, and a 15-2 drubbing of Stratford-Bunnell, at Treadwell Park, two days later.

Monroe, CT — It has been quite a start to the season for the Newtown High School girls’ lacrosse team. The Nighthawks had a busy and productive opening week with four games (and wins) in a span of six days. And the Hawks won in a variety of ways, from blowouts to nail-biting comebacks.
