Trumbull, CT — Five Ridgefield wrestlers advanced sto CT State opens. Wrestler needed to place in top 6 in the LL division to move on.

New Haven, CT — Ridgfield sent 5 wrestlers to the CT state open tournament. Andre Kosygin, Dom Barella, Victor Petkov and Freshman Johnny carrozza and Leo Moore.

Ridgefield, CT — The Tigers ended their regular season in style. The team realer off 9 consecutive pins between 120 and 182 to seal the victory.

New Canaan, CT — The RHS Wrestling Team competed in the 2-day FCIAC Championship tournament this past weekend. The team took sixth place overall despite forfeits at 3 weight classes.

New Fairfield , CT — The Ridgefield grapplers wrestled five matches on Saturday. Despite giving up 3 matches per meet (18 points) in forfeits the team finished 4-1 and took 3rd overall. This was a great warm up as the boys get ready for Stamford on Wednesday Feb 7th and then The FCIAC tournament on Friday/Saturday Feb 10th & 11th.

Ridgefield, CT — Ridgefield faced off against Danbury High School this past week. Danbury has ranked atop CT high school wrestling over the last several decades. The team had a great showing and there were a number of very close matches. Ridgefield had wins from Johnny Carrozza, Leo Moore, Lorenzo Lanzilli, and Ryder Dadasovich. There were some great battles, as Ridgfield’s top Wrestlers Dom Barella, Victor Petkov and Andrey Kosygin faced off with several of the states top ranked wrestlers from Danbury. While these matches didn’t go our way these were gritty matches that could have gone either way. We love the trajectory the team is on and the group appears to be peaking at the right time in the season.
