Improvement Demonstrated!
Tamaqua, PA — The Olympian Boys track and field team traveled to Tamaqua to take on the Blue Raiders and North Schuylkill Spartans in a double dual. Team wise, the boys came close (Tamaqua: 80.5-69.50; North Schuylkill - 82-68) to picking up a win; individually, there was a lot to be positive about. Numerous student-athletes set season or career best performances during the meet. Event winners include:

Lehighton, PA — Despite a team loss, progress was shown in our process of improvement and learning the sport/events of Track and Field. A positive attitude and approach was on display with competitive efforts across the board and a drive and desire to continue to improve and push each other to new heights as our season progresses! The first meet is always an adventure til we learn how to navigate a track and field meet, and we accomplished that goal of navigation with competitive efforts! With dedication and commitment to our training and learning, we will show improvement and have the potential to be a force to be reckoned with as the season progresses.

Olympians Pick Up 2 Victories
Jim Thorpe, PA — Both the Olympians Boys and Girls squads came out victorious in a dual meet agains neighboring Lehighton! The boys squad won 108-42 led by a balanced attack throughout all events. The girls won due to 11 first place finishes to 7 for Lehighton with a tied scored of 75-75. The girls relays were the star of the show going 3 for 3 earning 15 critical team points! The quartet of Nicole Carroll, Aubrey Bonner, Aurora VanAuken, and Ehlauna Penn got it done in the last race of the day! Down 5 (70-75) the girls knew they needed the win to even up the score and let the meet be determined by tiebreaker criteria and left no doubt as to who was going to win the race!
