Hawks season comes to a close
Idaho Falls, ID — This was a tough end to a great season. We have learned so much as a program and progressed so far. A top 8 finish in state was a great accomplishment.

Hawks struggle in conference finale
Boise, ID — Hawks got inside the BK 20 yard line 5 times and came away with 7 points. Word of the day on Saturday is finish. We struggled to finish drives against a very savvy football team. The boys competed hard and played well. We just didn’t finish.

Hawks defeat Ridgevue to secure playoff bid
Nampa, ID — It’s been a long journey to improvement this year and the boys have worked really hard to be a top team in 4A. The win against Ridgevue sets up the opportunity to play the #1 ranked team in the state for the conference championship on Friday 10/20.

City champs!
Nampa, ID — Hawks were victorious on senior night with a 35-30 win over Nampa High, improving to 5-2 and winning 4 straight. It was an emotional roller coaster. We knew Nampa was tough and that we would get their best game.

Hawks get rivalry win over Columbia
Nampa, ID — Hawks remain unbeaten in league play with a win over cross town rival Columbia. This was a competitive game between these two programs a year ago. Which is a testament to all the hard work the boys have put in this offseason. We are significantly improved even from a month ago. At the start of the month we looked at our September schedule and knew it would largely determine our playoff placement. Winning September (3-0) is a stark contrast to last year. We are a physical football team capable of competing for the conference championship. Our defense allowed a total of 15 points in those 3 games (out scoring opponents 127-15 combined).

Hawks win Homecoming in decisive fashion!
Nampa, ID — We wanted to set the tone early. We wanted to start fast. We knew from film study we were the better team. We challenged the boys to show we were a good team by our defensive intensity and effort. 35-0 at half. Zero points allowed in the game. Huge way to set the tone for conference play. Emmett will be a huge test. All our goals are in front of us with a win. Short week. Home game on Thursday. Enjoy the dance, back to work. Go Hawks!

Hawks fall 34-14 to Kuna
Nampa, ID — We are still learning to do things at a high level. The Hawks kept fighting through mistakes, penalties, and missed assignments. I appreciated the team continuing to fight.

Hawks win home opener in dramatic comeback
Nampa, ID — All the prep and the work came down to more adversity. Trailing 20-7 after giving up 20 unanswered having the starting QB knocked out for a play the Hawks faced 2nd and long deep in their own end. Back up QB Dakota Dodge came in completed a screen pass to Henry Downey and the momentum shifted back to the Hawks. Cache Beus finished the drive with a TD to Mason Krahn and we were back in the game.

Hawks wrap up summer competition going 4-2 at FIPB 7 on 7
Boise, ID — It's been a long journey since our bus broke down on the way to Utah in June. From BYU, to U of U, to BSU, to Madison, to Centennial, to Emmett, to Wish bowl (Meridian), to McCall, to FIPB in Boise. We have played a lot of competitive football this summer. I have seen great growth in the confidence and swagger of our players and yet we have a ways to go when adversity hits.
