Ventura, CA — In their first game back after Winter Break the team started slow and mental mistakes cost the team. In the second half of the game the players settled in and played well, not allowing a goal. Emmanuel Catano racked a free kick off the crossbar narrowly missing a goal opportunity. Sammy Rocha had several good looks but was unable to cash one in. The defense played strong in the second half and Miguel Catano played well

Ventura, CA — The S/F played a very competitive game against Rio Mesa and is showing great improvement. Anthony Andres and Sammy Rocha both had opportunities to score in each half. The back line of David Torres, Jonah Malone, Cash Estrada and Jack Gillespie are playing well on Defense. Anthony Vigil and Emmanuel Catano stood out in midfield. The team is still working hard to get that win. They grow one step closer

Ventura, CA — Against a really well coached team in Oxnard the team showed more skills and much improvement. Emanuel Catano led the team on the field and Miguel Catano was good in goal making plays to keep them in the game. The team is getting closer to achieving the results they are looking for.

Ventura, CA — While the boys eventually succumbed to Westlake there were moments during play that they were together playing as a team. Hopefully a turning point in our season

Malibu, CA — In just the team’s second preseason game there was vast improvement made. Malibu was a very skilled, well coached team with whom we competed with well for roughly 25 minutes of the second half. Lessons were learned and the team is improving. I thought the midfield led by Elijah Caetano at defensive mid really came into focus with good performances that were effective in transition.

Ventura, CA — The Buena Frosh beat Royal 26-18 this past Thursday. Buena was led by Johnny Gallegos, who had 108 yards receiving & 2 TDs on offense. On defense, Gallegos had an interception returned for a TD & 6 tackles. Nate Velez played well on defense, totaling 10 tackles. Isaiah Obst stepped in at QB & was 10-13 passing for 118 yards. On special teams, Andrew Alamillo had 3 tackles covering kickoffs.

Ventura, CA — The Frosh lost a tough game to Ventura 19-14. Gavin Barajas had a 51 yard interception return for a touchdown and Johnny Gallegos had a 54 yard touchdown reception for the Bulldogs. Andrew Alamillo and Caden Major both had interceptions on defense. David Roca & Justin Magdaleno each had a sack.

Ventura, CA — Buena Frosh fell to Agoura 30-16 this past Friday. Andy Harrison played well on both sides of the ball, scoring 2 rushing touchdowns to go along with some key tackles on defense. Jacob Rivera & Justin Magdaleno continued their solid play on the offensive line.

Santa Barbara, CA — Buena Frosh played hard and with great effort, but lost on the road at San Marcos, 28-15.

Ojai, CA — The Freshmen Bulldogs picked up their first win of the season by going on the road and beating the Nordhoff Rangers 20-13.

Goleta, CA — The Freshman team opened the season with a 14-14 tie on the road against the Dos Pueblos Chargers.
