Young Carterville squad competes at the West Frankfort Invitational

The Carterville boys cross country team took a young squad to the West Frankfort Invitational and placed sixth out of 12 teams. Senior Rowan Beyke led the way with an impressive fifth-place overall finish in 17:08. Freshman Ashby Stottler was the team’s second finisher, followed by sophomore Cannon Cervantez, junior Mitchell Carsrud, and freshman Lane Sykes to round out the top five scorers for the Lions.
