Hello All, I am excited to announce our final fundraisder of the year. Due to Covid and other factors, this has taken the longest to make happen, but it will be the funnest and a game changer for our organization. We are going to need everyone to help out in one way or another. You don't need to know how to golf nor need to know anyone who golfs to make a positive impact on this event. Why is this a game changer for our organizaton, while we have a month to prepare to put this event on this year, we are locked in to this same date every year at a private country club, which a great draw to golfers as you would normally need to be a member or know a member to be able to play on this course. While we will need to work our tails off this year because we have a relatively short amount of time to prepare for this year's evcent, in coming years, we will have several months to prepare for this event, allowing us to put on a better, more lucrative event. In turn, that means less organizational fundraisers, in coming years and this event could get big enough that it could help to pay for other expenses or allow teams to do their own fundraisers to raise money for tournaments, uniforms, equipment, which can in turn mean less out of pocket money for parents when it comes to start up fees. Attached to this announcement is a flyer for the event, a player sign up sheet, and a sponsor sign up sheet. We are asking each team get 4 foursomes to participate and each player find at least one hole sponsorship (every player who attains two hole sponsorships will recieve a Monarchs Traveling Jacket and Pants.) In addition we are looking for each team to donate two baskets to raffle off at the reception after the event. These can be items that are donated by our families or donated by third parties or businesses. Lastly, we will need volunteers on the day of the event to work various areas and perform light duties at the golf course. Descriptions of the above mentioned items: Foursome: a group of four players Golf Entry Fee: $150 (includes green fees, golf cart, range balls, BBQ dinner after golf, welcome package of a sleeve of balls, package of tees, golf towel, drink koozie.) As discussed at the initial meeting at the beginning of the year, all organization fundraisers goes toward travel expenses for all of our coaches who do not have daughters on a team, replacement of equipment such as softballs and machine balls, repair of equipment such as pitching machines, and budget shortages caused by having less than 15 players on a roster. Starting next year, we will only have two organizational fundraisers, a poker tournament in the fall, and this golf tournament in the spring. This will allow teams to their own fundraisers to keep start up costs down or just choose not to do the extra fundraisers. Also, with the extra time to put on the golf tournament, if we can get big donors this can help expedite the organization to hopefully open up our own indoor facility, in the very near future. However, we need to pull off this golf tournament in a short period of time and we need to impress so participants want to come back and be involved in the tournament. We will be setting up Group Me text groups for communication regarding the tournament in the coming days. If we all come together and do our best, I know we can pull this off and host an outstanding event. A big thank you to the several parents and coaches that I have had the opportunity to talk to regarding the gold tournament and their pledged assistance. Please feel free to push the flyer, player sign up sheet and the sponsor sign up sheet out on social media right away. (attached is the flyer and player sign up sheet. the sponsor sign up sheet will be sent shortly.) Lastly, a Huge Thank You to Ron Mason for getting us in to Alt Vista Country Club!! Any questions for me, please text me. Thank you, Coach Jeff 714-348-9760
