Family Responsibilities and Information

  • Each family is responsible for at least 2 players in the tournament.

  • Some families will have an easier time finding players for the tournament.  If you are having difficulty finding participants for the tournament, reach out to fellow parents that may have more than 2 participants attending.

  • If you will not be bringing in any participants to the event, the buy-out is $100.  You may use this buy-out as credit to participate in the tournament, yourself and use it toward the entry fee, add-ons, re-buys, drink wristband, etc.

  • In addition, we will have a sign up list this weekend sent out by your team representative for food and drink donations, and set up and take down help for the event.  Last spring we had an amazing event, and so many compliments from people who attended.  However, we lacked in the participation of the clean-up part.  When only 1 or 2 individuals are helping clean up, it is an enormous, time consuming task.  When we get participation from many people, the task is simple.  So please, plan on someone from your family lending a hand where needed.  Also, please don’t wait to be asked, go to your team rep or Christine and let them know of any extra help you are able to give.

  • This fundraiser is essential for organizational expenses.  We need all 3 pitching machines repaired and tuned up.  The maintenance of these machines is very expenses and we always want to have working equipment so our players can use these machines without waiting because a machine is inoperable.  Also, we need to completely replace our machine balls for consistency out of the machine.  We also need other training aids to help our players be the best they can be.  In addition, the funds raised will also pay for travel expenses for our coaches who do not have children on a team.

  • As mentioned in previous posts, you can also use funds raised from the Team Calendar Fundraiser to pay the $100 buy out for this fundraiser.  I, myself, participate in every fundraiser and do what I ask each family to do.  The first night I put the Calendar Fundraiser up, I raised $105 and I have seen many of our families doing very on their personal calendars.  I will be getting as many poker participants as possible and try to get well over the necessary two participants.  I know some of these can seem difficult, but it doesn’t take as much effort as you might think.  However, as mentioned before, you are welcome to buy out of any fundraiser, if you do not want to participate.  We only ask that you donate where asked in helping each fundraiser as smoothly as possible.

Thank you all in advance for your help and support.  If you have any questions, feel free to text me at 714-348-9760.
