Stratford started the week winning a thrilling back and forth tussle with SWC league opponent New Fairfield 8-7. Stratford jumped out to an early 5-1 after 3 innings and a later 7-4 lead after six innings before New Fairfield gutted out rallies to even the game on those two occasions.
