Dow gave up 1 run in the first inning and 4 runs in the 2nd and could not recover from there. Rex Dingman was the starting pitcher and picks up the loss. Dylan Winslow had a solid pitching performance giving up 1 unearned run in 1.2 innings. Bennett Kanitz pitched a perfect 1.1 innings to finish the game. The Chargers could not muster much offense but had some good at bats from Zack Parker and Joe Craig. Parker was 2 for 3 with the lone RBI and stole 2 bases. Craig was 2 for 2.
The Dow Charger Baseball Team put together a solid combined pitching performance and timely hitting to beat Traverse City West in the first game of the 2023 season 6-2. Tom Bacigalupo, Nick Bond, Jake Szajenko, and Spencer Serbinski combined to hold the Titans to only 3 hits. Tom Bacigalupo started with a perfect 2 innings and striking out 5 batters. Nick Bond picks up the win pitching a scoreless 3rd and 4 th innings. Offensively, the Chargers were led by Rex Dingman who went 2 for 2 with an RBI and scored a run. Jacob Ahn was 1 for 2 with 2 runs scored.
