This past weekend, the Lady Tigers traveled to Reed High School to compete in the 2026 Northern Nevada Regional Qualifier, where the top four finishers in each weight class earned a ticket to the State Tournament. Competing against 35 teams over two days, Douglas High made its presence felt from start to finish.

Today 6 of our Tigers wrestlers competed against the Northern Nevada JV teams. We came home with 5 placers! It is great to see all of the improvement from all of our wrestlers! This weekend, the Tigers took the mat at the Sparks Tournament inside the Brickhouse, and both squads showed why the work is starting to matter.
Twenty Tigers wrestlers traveled to Lovelock, NV to compete against 29 other a Varsity teams, and the Tigers were competitive! All the wrestlers are showing improvement on the mat. The Tigers came home with 6 medals in total, 3 from the boys brackets and 3 from the girls bracket! Congrats to Izzy 1st place, Ryder 2nd place, Jesse 2nd place, Ali 2nd place, Kenley 3rd place, Izzak 4th place. Thank you Izzy for gifting me your hard earned and well deserved 1st place medal, I will cherish it (If you know, you know)! These young kids are battling and people are noticing, the Boys team finished in 5th place and the Girls team finished in 2nd place in points.
