The new look Lady Dragons of Sacramento Charter High School, or Sac High as it is affectionately known, wanted to make a strong impression in the Fortune Showcase matchup against Weston Ranch of Stockton. That indeed is precisely what these Lady Dragons did on this Saturday afternoon, leaving a very strong impression in what should be a very good season.
Sac High started the game off cold, and seemed to have a hard time containing wing player Kaliyah Byrd from West, but after some halftime adjustments and a renewed sense of urgency, the Lady Dragons pitched a third quarter shutout and used some timely Jordan Gattoni-Pointer 3 pointers to put the game away in a 51-39 Sac High victory in the consolation final of the Sac Adventist Holiday Classic.
The Lady Dragons of Sac High used a 39-3 run between the second and third quarters of their second round matchup against the Fowler RedCats to coast to an easy 59-14 victory.
Sac High dropped the opening game of the Sac Adventist Holiday Classic, falling to the host Sac Adventist Capitals 45-33.
