Mother Nature must be a Tiger at Heart

Trying to follow up a perfect evening, like last night's Award's Picnic, is always hard to do, especially when dealing with a 2025 season that Mother Nature wants to keep miserable. Well, Ms Nature most certainly is a Tiger @ Heart ❤️ since the rains stopped and at times, she shone brightly on the Tigers. The first ever Golden Tiger 9th-10th Invitational was a success. Mixing in Senior Night made the afternoon even better. The 4 other teams in attendance were talking about keeping it going, especially as a last chance type qualifier for their District Meet. All the meet workers were Athletes, from those running the field events, the Timers, made up of the Tigers Distance team, The Clerks, the grounds workers and even Anthony DeStefano doing the Finishlynx Timing and race evaluations! There was no team score kept for this event. This coach's highlight of the day was the 4 Sr Girls, 3 throwers & a pole vaulter asking to run a 4x4 to close out their Lady Tiger Career's. Hats off to Katie Klingner, Maddie McLauren, Olivia Miknis and Leah Petrunak for adding that cherry on top of a great 2 days! Go Tigers!

Double Up @ The LHAC Championships

So the 2025 LHAC Championships is in the books and when the sun finally came out, the Tigers were shinning bright! A fitting end to any track meet, both the boys and girls 4x400M Relay Team were winners, with the girls finishing in a Seasons Best time that was also .13 hundredths off the school record. The Boys team was again led by Isaac Yarnell who was a 3 even individual winner, capturing the 100m, 200m, 400m and also ran a leg on the winning 4x400m team. Other boys earning podium spots include, 4x800 team of Andrew Chestney, Sebastian Diaz, Gannon Zonts and Brady Lewis, Braelyn Ross, Dean Sunderland, Reuben Manfred, Cole Delattre, Christian White, Jefferson McCoy, Hunter Albright and Carter Belton-Ruiz.

Golden Tiger 9th-10th Grade LHAC Invite

The Tigers will be proud to host the first 6 team invitational for 9-10 grade athletes from the LHAC. The purpose of this meet is to give those underclassmen who didn’t compete in the regular LHAC Championships or will run in the district meet, a last opportunity to compete before the season ends. This meet will be hosted and run by the Tiger Senior Athletes who will be event judges, timers, clerks and announcers for this meet.

LHAC Championships

With last seasons entrance into the LHAC, the Tigers were faced with something that is kinda unheard of in the world of sports. Unless you were the “winner” of one of the two sub conferences in the LHAC, you didn’t get to Score for the Championships. That meant, our boys, who happened to loose to Central due to a field trip that took 1/2 the team and 4 of the highest scoring boys on the team, were NOT eligible for the Overall Title. When the dust, and Randy Wilson finally settled, the boys outscored the the 2 teams that were scoring for the title by over 100 points each!
