Warriors fall to Huskies by 1 stroke on 5th score!

Despite playing without #1 Mina Shyam and #3 Nitya Thapar, the Warriors played Naperville North to a 188-188 tie on Wednesday at Springbrook through 4 scores. On the 5th score tiebreaker, WV came up 1 stroke short, leading to the first conference loss of the season. Counting scores for the Warriors were Alyssa Straub (46), Siya Sohal (47), Riya Gupta (47), and Olivia Sheffler (48). Gabby Torreon provided the 5th score with a 52.

Medalist Mina Shyam leads Warriors to 2nd place finish at Aurora City Invite!

Senior Mina Shyam shot a stellar 1-under-par 70 to take individual medalist honors at the Aurora City Invite. Joining Mina in leading the Warriors to a 2nd place finish (behind Metea Valley) was Siya Sohal (81), Nitya Thapar (93) and Olivia Sheffler (110). 

Warriors start season w/ 3rd Place finish at McGonagle!

The first tournament of the season took place at Naperville Country Club on Tuesday, 8/19. The Vern McGonagle Invite featured the six main high schools that serve Naperville -- Waubonsie, Neuqua, Metea, Naperville North, Naperville Central, and Benet.

Clean sweep in the DVC this week for the Warriors!

The Waubonsie Valley girls stayed hot on Wednesday, knocking off Naperville Central 166-177 to improve to 3-0 in the DVC. Mina Shyam led the way, shooting even par 36 to earn medalist honors for the 3rd match in a row. A season-low 42 from Nitya Thapar was a big contribution along with Siya Sohal's 43. Alyssa Straub finished her round birdie-par to shoot a season-low 45 and round out the scoring for the Warriors.
