Mustangs return to winning ways with big win over Bunnel.

After a tough few game stretch, Fairfield Warde found a way to rebound and get their 8th win of the season. The Mustangs had strong contributions from a lot of people on the team, but were led by Justin Santos with 22 points and Kovanni Mckiernan with 18 points. Warde applied pressure from the tip getting great defensive efforts from Jake Lotstein and Nick Abony. Warde looks to finish the season strong with its last two games of the year this week. The Mustangs play Brien McMahon Monday at home.

Warde’s outstanding defense leads to 4th win of the year.

The Mustangs gave a great defensive effort on their way to their 4th win of the year beating Trumbull 48-34. This win gave Coach Muller his 100th career win and started the program sweep for the night. Warde got great play from Brandon Stewart-Jones, Alex Perman, Jaylon Torres and Kovanni Mckiernan. Warde looks to get its 5th win of the year Tuesday against Bridgeport Central.

Funky weather day slows down the Mustangs

On a day where the game was cancelled then brought back last minute the Mustangs fell to the St. Joseph's Cadets 50-38. The game was back and forth for most of the day with key contributions from Liam Sikora and Kovanni McKiernan, but ultimately the Mustangs couldn't get the win. Warde has a big home matchup against Trumbull on Friday, where they will look to get back to their winning ways.

Warde comes out on top in a Friday night thriller

Taking on a gritty Wilton team the Mustangs found a way to battle back and win a 32 to 30 game moving them to 3-1 on the season. Warde didn’t have its best shooting game, but when it mattered the players stepped up to get the Mustangs back in the game and eventually take the lead. Matteo Armstrong led the way knocking down three clutch three-pointers in the fourth quarter to take the lead. Wilton would eventually tie the game with 20 seconds remaining. That’s when Kovanni McKiernan stepped up and made a big bucket which was the deciding basket in the game. The Mustangs look to continue their success Tuesday against St Joseph’s of Trumbull.
