Honesdale Boys & Girls Compete Tough in Final Meet of Season

The Honesdale Boys Track & Field team were defeated in the final regular meet versus Scranton 98 to 52. Wyatt Rutherford led the hornets with 2 first place finishes with victories in the Shot Put and Discus. Robert Quinn won the Pole Vault with a career best vault of 12ft-0in. On the track Mason Avery won the 100m dash with a career best of 11.2 seconds. Peter Pham won the 400m run. Logan Novobilski won the the 800m run in 2:08.7. Aiden Collins finished second in both the 200m and 400m runs. In the hurdles Owen Parenti finished in 2nd in the 300m hurdles.

NEW School Record but Boys & Girls Track & Field Team suffer a tough defeat versus Wallenpaupack

The Boys and Girls Track & Field Team suffer a tough defeat versus Wallenpaupack. Roz Mikulak, however, had a great day for the lady hornets. Roz won the pole vault with a NEW school record in the girls pole vault with a vault of 9ft - 1 n defeating the previous record of 9ft-0in by Abby Firmstone. Along with winning the pole vault, Roz also placed in her other 3 events with second place finishes in the 100m dash, shot put and javelin throws. Yet again this week, Brenna Dahlgren finished in first place in both the 1600m and the 3200m runs. 

Hornets come up short versus North Pocono

The Honesdale Boys Track & Field team lost a tough one to North Pocono 84 to 66. Once again Logan Novobilski led the hornets with 3 first place finishes with victories in the 1600m, 800m and anchoring the team of Peter Pham, Kobe White and Aiden Collins in the 4x400 relay. Peter Pham also had a great day with a first place finish in the 400 meter run along with a third place finish in the 200m run. Mason Avery added a second place finish in 100m dash and a 2nd place finish in the long jump. In the field, Wyatt Rutherford had a great day with wins in both the shot put and discus. Also finishing in first place in the field were Robert Quinn with a win in the pole vault and Brayden Gawron with a win in the high jump.

Girls earn a great win, Boys lose a close one at Western Wayne

The Honesdale Boys Track & Field team lost another tough one to Western Wayne 82 to 62. Logan Novobilski led the hornets with 3 first place finishes with victories in the 1600m, 800m and anchoring the team of Peter Pham, Kobe White and Aiden Collins in the 4x400 relay. Kobe White also had a great day with a first place finish in the triple jump along with a second place finish in the high jump and a third place finish in the long jump. Peter Pham also won the 400m run and a 3rd place finish in the 200m dash. Aiden Collins added a second place finish in 200m dash and a 3rd place finish in the 100m dash. In the hurdles Owen Parenti and Ryan Brescia finished in 2nd and 3rd place respectively in both the 110 m high and 300 m hurdles. In the field, Robert Quinn won the pole vault. Wyatt Rutherford had a 2nd place finish in both the shot put and discus.
