Schedule moving forward will be practice after school EVERYONE from 145-430pm.

This Saturday practice will be from 10am-12pm

WRESTLE OFFs will be next Tuesday the 22nd this will be the LAST one for VARSITY. The reason is we have freshman and JV league finals Wednesday and if you lose your wrestle off you will be going there. If you have been wrestling frosh/soph, JV, a backup, or want to go another weight I encourage you to challenge for the Varsity spot. You have nothing to lose, you get a match or two and possibly a varsity spot! NO ONE owns a spot on Varsity you can challenge anyone you want on the team. You must be 5 pounds within the weight class the day of though. El Dorado was our last varsity dual and we will use the same line up for wrestle offs. 108 Jake Dolich, 115 Dominic Lobo, 122 Peter Mitchell, 128 Roscoe Coughran, 134 Chad Mitchell, 138 Max Jaramillo, 147 Steven Jaramillo, 154 Liam McHugh, 162 Jacob Carroll, 172 Sergio Gutierrez, 184 Eric Burciaga, 197 Jessie Mariche, 222 Ethan De La Riva, 287 Brandon Salinas.

Possible scenario: If Maoka wants to wrestle Liam he is more than welcome to. Maoka would need to beat Liam 2 out of 3 times; whereas, Liam would only need to beat him once because he last wrestled in the 152-varsity spot (El Dorado dual). Let's say Eder also wants to wrestle off Liam, Maoka and Eder would wrestle one match first and then the winner gets to face Liam. The losers both get to go JV the next day at league finals.

Wednesday the 23rd will be Freshman and JV league finals at Canyon.

Saturday the 26th we will be going to Royal High school in Simi Valley for CIF duals! Please if your son has skin issues take him to the doctor get the cream or the pill and ask me for a CIF note the doctor needs to fill out. We will be taking some backups from frosh/soph and JV, but I encourage everyone to come and watch because we plan to be back there next year!

Wednesday the 30th will be Varsity league finals at El Dorado. Top 4 go to CIF for sure and 5th as an alternate. If you are an alternate at 5th or 6th come with us to CIF practice because you may get pulled into the tournament if someone misses weight or doesn’t pass groom. Last year Subias got 6th in our league the 5th place kid hurt his wrist in practice told us he wasn’t going CIF and Subias ended up getting pulled into the tournament.

CIF practices will be TBD most likely villa park, Elmo, or servite. I encourage everyone on our team to come to these practices whether you qualified for CIF or not if you want to get better for next year!

CIF will be Friday 8th and 9th of February at Brea High School

Please let me know if you have any questions about anything! Thanks!
