Vs VMHS

Our girls played a well rounded game tonight moving the ball around. We had five assists on seven goals from the field showing improvement in our offensive teamwork and added five free position goals. Mya recorded five saves in goal off of eleven shots giving up just two goals. All of this work tonight was with an undermanned team with only one sub. Good game girls. Now rest those legs as we get ready for Mesa.

Helmet game

Our girls played a pretty solid game tonight, when the officials allowed them to. Our teamwork is improving as evident in getting more assists and moving the ball around. We have now evened out our record at 3-3. Time to regroup Tuesday as we are starting league play on Wednesday.

Game 2

Game 2 is in the books and our girls are coming home victorious. We jumped out to an early lead with clean passes and winning the ground ball battle. Our middies lead the way in scoring with 10 goals between the three starters and each of our four starting attack added a goal with Kate also recording our first assist in the books. Defensively we closed up some of our gaps limiting shooting from the field and creating 6 takeaways. Mya had a solid night in goal with 6 saves on 11 shots giving up just 3 goals, all from free position shots.

Game 1 Recap

Game 1 was a rough start to the season. We started the season with a tough challenge facing a top 4 team out of the San Diego area. Our girls fought and never gave up competing through the final horn. We gained some valuable experience across the field with multiple girls earning their first goal on the season, including a first year varsity player scoring her first goal in her first varsity game. Nice work Angelica.
