Gradechecks
Just a reminder...
All gradechecks (AP & non-AP) we’re handed out to the players yesterday post-practice. They are to fully fill out the sheets TODAY during school and the last step is to bring it to you (parents) TONIGHT to show the update of where he stands academically, in which you would sign off. Gradechecks are expected to be submitted to me in the locker room tomorrow (Sep. 18th) morning by 8:25a.
From here, I will be coordinating our academic game plan for all players and especially those in jeopardy of being on AP at the end of Q1 of the 2019-2020 SY. Exams begin on September 30th (already less than 2 weeks from today). We NEED to be at full strength for post-season playoffs!!
Remember, any overall GPA at the end of Q1 which is below a 2.0 is considered academic probation and the student-athlete will be ineligible for 2 weeks which falls directly on our 2-week OIA Tournament and then on a 2-week basis for the state HHSAA tournament. Also, ANY “F” grade will be deemed ineligible.
It is a collective effort and I’m glad that the boys will be updating you with where they stand. As long as we are getting “ahead” of a potential issue, we can plan to overcome it as always!
