A Made up Mind......... READY "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good , and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. " Romans 12:2 Some say it only takes 21 days to form a new habit. We are often looking to change or do something new. People try to lose weight, build muscle, stop smoking, drinking or a host of other habits they either want to stop or start. No matter what we do we can not do it without commitment. Sadly commitment can go both ways, we can be committed to being our best or committed to doing our worst. All these decisions are made in our own MIND........... SET "Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us" Ephesians 3:20 You are in control of you. Do you know that? Do you realize how much power you have within you that will ultimately determine your future? The goals you have set for yourself, the person you want to become will rest on your shoulders. God is with you, around you, and within you. Whether we choose to acknowledge that or not is a personal choice. However each of us are fully equipped with the capability to access our God given talents that far expand the realm of sports. Furthermore, we are in the season of our sport of choice. As we approach our upcoming seasons, as coaches we are looking for one thing. We are looking for players that have made up their mind to be committed. We are looking for the players who want to put in the work to take the program to the next level. Some of you have yet to fully commit to the process of being on the team. Some of you still miss practice, still make excuses to not show up and work hard, simply because you have not made up your mind. This is the time to show up. Show up for yourself. Even if you are a returner you have to commit again and again to the process of getting better year after year. The goals you set will be accomplished by your ability to manifest the power within you. When you trust God and seek to follow his plan for your life, you will trust yourself, in knowing you are not working alone. GO What will set you apart? Are you willing to allow God to be a part of your daily walk? Are you willing to commit? How many days will it take you to create a new habit of showing up? What distractions do you have and how will you eliminate them? Have you made up your mind? WORKOUT Think about the bible verses Romans 12:2 , and Ephesians 3:20, and ask yourself, "how do these verses speak to who you are now, and who you want to be"? Do you understand what it means to work in confidence without fear of failure? God will allow you to work in that confidence. Learn to step out on faith and run with the opportunities you are given. Learn how to be in control of the choices you make and what you are committed to do. Learn how to be a decision maker. Learn what it means to work with a made up mind.
