A tough day on the pitch

“The JV Soccer Lions had a tough day on the pitch today, unfortunately this game has the ability to do that sometimes. The team made some uncharacteristic mistakes and we got punished for it. We struggled matching the other teams energy and intensity. We did create some chances that could have changed the trajectory of the game, unfortunately we couldn’t finish them. This is where we Lions show what we are made of, we need to pick ourselves up and get back to playing Lion Soccer. I am looking forward to getting back on the field Friday against Bosco. One bright spot was Nate Aquino who never stopped working and fighting from first whistle to last, I was very proud of his effort. He embodied what this program is about, regardless of score or result we fight like Lions!!!”

A tough fought battle

“The JV Soccer Lions showed incredible heart and determination in a tough fought battle at the Great Park on Tuesday against the Monarchs. The defense did an incredible job keeping a shut out, the offense created some chances unfortunately we couldn’t close them out. The team played with great effort and energy, it was an amazing performance by everyone!”
