Goddard vs. Eisenhower 2/16

The Lions look to start another win streak against their crosstown rivals, the Eisenhower Tigers! The Lions got off to a hot start and never looked back! The Lions had one of their best shooting nights as a team, knocking down 7 3-pointers throughout the game. Eisenhower tried to make a late push at the end of the 3rd quarter, but the Lions were able to rally in the 4th and won 54-44. The Lions will now set their sights on Augusta, as they travel to go and participate in the Freshman Tournament. With all of this momentum, the Lions are motivated to have a strong tournament!

Goddard vs. Salina Central 2/12

The Goddard Lions looked to bounce back after a tough 2 game skid on what has been a fantastic year! The Lions started out the game well and carried that momentum through the first three quarters, building an 8 point lead going into the 4th. In the fourth quarter the Mustangs made a late push, knocking down multiple contested 3-Point shots. The Lions were able to hold on and out executed the Mustangs down the stretch to hang on to a 49-46 win! The Lions turn to face their crosstown rival next Tuesday, the Eisenhower Tigers!

Goddard vs Andover 2/9

The Lions looked to continue their win streak against a crosstown league opponent in the Andover Trojans. The Lions got off to a quick start before the Trojans started to mount a comeback. The Lions struggled to play consistently throughout the entire game, while the Trojans played one of their best games of the year. Even with the inconsistent play, the Lions were able to put themselves in a position to win in the 4th, but unfortunately they could not over come the hot shooting of Andover in the second half. The Lions lost their first league game of the season 56-53. The Lions will look to bounce back on Thursday against their middle school rivals, the Maize South Mavericks!

Goddard vs. Valley Center 2/5

The Goddard Lions were finally back in action after 3 weeks off! They faced a challenging Valley Center team who forced the Lions into overtime in their last meeting. The Lions came out to with a roaring start and were up 8-0 early! The Hornets were able to rally and forced a close back and forth game in the second half. The Lions were able to execute down the stretch and held on for a 42-39 victory! This Lions were able to shake off some rust and held on for the win. Their next game will be against another league opponent in the Andover Trojans.
