-Click the link below for a video recap of last week’s game vs. Marina http://www.hudl.com/v/2FjkcH -Tomorrow (9/8/21)is make up picture day in the theater. We missed the first day in August so you need to do this to get your id card and yearbook photo. -Players need to be sure to bring your grade checks early to all of your classes. Fill out the classes before and have your name on it. Must be turned in before our game on Thursday. - We will practice until about 430 the day before games. Players should use extra time at home for their homework, studies, and training habits (water, food, rest). -Our game this week is at home on Thursday, 9/9/21 at 4 pm vs. Scripps Ranch High School (San Diego) -Players wear red jersey to school tucked in to black shorts or pants on gameday. - Players need to increase their water and food intake to prepare for hot weather. -Please remember to do a sway medical check every day. NEVER report to team activities if you are in close contact with a person who has Covid or if you have any sway symtpoms of covid. The sway check in allows our nurse to contact you to plan your return to school and practice. Do not return to practice on your own if you have symptoms or have covid. Contact me so I can get you in touch with our trainer or school nurse. -We need game day support for home games in the following positions. If they cannot be filled, they will be done by players on the team. Ball Persons - Responsible young person with ability to focus and move quickly. Chain Crew - Best seat in the house. You are on field and get to hear the game from opponent side line. 3 people who work with ref on the field to set the down marker and chains. Adults are best for this, but anyone who can focus, follow directions, and has physical ability to stand for 1.5 hours holding up a light object can do this. Film Crew - 1 or 2 people who stand at the top of the press box and film the game. Must be able to climb up and down a ladder, focus, and operate a camera (record and stop between plays, change battery if it dies). Adult preferred but can be a responsible high schooler. -Special thanks to Devon McElroy’s family for organizing post game food for the players the past few weeks and to all parents for their support and donations. These players don’t realize it now but they will always remember how parents, family, and coaches supported them during this challenging experience of being a student athlete and learning to become an Elsinore football player.
