Coach's Corner with Coach Chi

We had a dominant win over Western Christian, in our second round of playoffs. Both offense and defense did their jobs well. We were happy with our running game, they were able to run convincingly and took over the game. Our passing game was very efficient and it created a balanced attack. Our defense held them to only 6 points, they were all over the field stopping their runs and passes, creating a difficult time for our opponents to have any kind of flow on their offense. We are continuing to work hard for our next opponent, Montclair. This game should be a physical game between the two of us. Come out and support your Tiger Football!

The First round of the playoff game was another exciting game. We were down by a touchdown earlier on, but we slowly got back on top once we settled down and focused on our assignments and execution. The ground game is improving and it will be a huge factor in our next game. Our passing game, once again came through big when we needed it. This week's game against Western Christian will be another good game. Please come out and support us at Upland for our 2nd round of playoffs.

Monrovia was a tough loss, however it provided an opportunity for our players to demonstrate their toughness to always compete and fight regardless of our opponents. I was proud of how we competed against Monrovia even though we were the underdogs. I believe that this game gave us a huge moral boost for our playoff run. Now we are heading into playoffs seeded #1 in our division. We are looking forward to our new challenge. Come support and we will see you all on Friday at home against Magnolia.

When both teams beat San Marino, it's a great day. The Varsity had an ending, made for a movie. Down by 17-21 with 3 minutes left in the game. We drove the length of the field, scoring on a pass from Jackson Freking to Grant Huntley for the winning score. Then with less than a minute, our defense had to stop them to seal the win. They were relentless in putting on the pressure on their QB, eventually beating San Marino as the clock ticked zero. Our win was a BIG one, and a collective effort by everyone and their contribution to the win. We met 2 of the 3 goals for the season, beating San Marino, qualifying to CIF playoffs. This Thursday, we are challenged to meet our last goal, to be a League Champ, playing against Monrovia. Come out and support.
